The Juegos Bolivarianos (Bolivarian Games), a multi-sport event held in honor of Simon Bolivar, who led today’s Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panamá, Peru and Venezuela to independence from the Spanish Empire, bring together athletes from the liberated countries as well as in 2025 from Chile, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala and Paraguay.

The games, which mark the beginning of the Olympic cycle leading up to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, is organized by the Organización Deportiva Bolivariana (ODEBO), with the Peruvian Institute of Sports (IPD) and the Peruvian Olympic Committee (COP) managing the logistics. The event will see 4,000 athletes competing across 40 sports and more than 55 disciplines in 43 venues in Lima and Ayacucho from November 22 to December 7, 2025.

At the moment a detailed program for the Juegos Bolivarianos Lima - Ayacucho 2025 hasn’t been officially released and is typically only finalized and published closer to the commencement of the games. Below find a list of expected sports:

The Bolivarian Games Lima – Ayacucho 2025 promise to be a celebration of sports and unity, with Peru as host country being committed to offering a spectacular experience for athletes and spectators.
