Festival of the Lord of Torrechayoc in Urubamba

One of the most important religious festivities in the Sacred Valley, is the celebration in honor of the Lord of Torrechayoc (Señor de Torrechayoc), the patron saint of Urubamba.

In 2025, the central day of the celebrations is May 19. Expect hundreds of faithful and visitors to join the festivities which include a pilgrimage to the Abra de Sicllaccasa, bullfights, cockfights, and other activities and on the central day a mass, dance presentations, colorful traditional costumes, lots of excellent food and drink, and a procession to the small chapel of the Lord of Torrechayoc out of town.
