The Ministry of Education is an institution of the Peruvian Government in charge of the national educational and pedagogical policies with the aim that all Peruvians can exercise their right to education.

It defines the curricular design for all levels of the Peruvian educational system and implements policies related to the granting of scholarships and educational credits and the processes of measurement and evaluation of learning achievements.

Objectives include:

  • generate equal educational opportunities for all Peruvians
  • guarantee relevant and quality learning
  • promote higher education as favorable factor for development and national competitiveness
  • strengthen teaching and specialist skills of teachers and instructors
