“Ruraq Maki, hecho a mano”, the sales exhibition showcasing handmade, indigenous, and native handicrafts and artworks from all over Peru, is back in a small edition at the National Museum of Peruvian Culture.
While in the decade before Covid “Ruraq Maki, hecho a mano” art & crafts fair developed into one of the most popular and largest (sales) exhibitions of original handmade Peruvian handicrafts and craftsmanship in Lima giving around 150 craftsmen from all over Peru a place to showcase and sell their handmade products, this time the sales exhibition is a much, much smaller affair, but still worth a visit.
The Ruraq Maki, hecho a mano fair allows local artists and craftsmen to preserve and promote their cultural heritage and traditional art and bring their original handmade works to a larger audience while at the same time generate some much-needed income.
And if you can’t make it to the exhibition, check out their online store.
