Sandboard World Cup – SWC 2019 in Paracas and Huacachina

Once again Peru hosts the Sandboard World Cup – SWC 2019; this year the competition takes place at the Huacachina Oasis and the Adrenarena Dunes in the Paracas Desert at the beginning of June.

The high performance sandboarding event which is held every two years by the Swiss organization INTERSANDS – International Sandboarding and Sandski Association, will see the participation of sandboard and snowboard riders from at the moment 10 confirmed countries including Austria, Brazil, Cape Verde, Chile, France, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Spain and Switzerland. Riders compete in the disciplines Slalom, Big Jump Expression, Slopestyle and Boardercross.

With this event InterSands continues to promote the practice of snowboarding and skiing on the sand dunes with the practice of sandboarding and sandskiing to create a sporting and environmental culture with future generations.
