Opened in 2011 Divercity is a theme park for children between 3 and 13 years of age. It's a city to scale where the children are the citizens (mom and dad can only enter as tourists) and play to be grown-ups. On an area of over 7200m2 the kids find more than 50 attractions where they can "work", learn, have fun and spend their earned Divercity money. Fun and entertainment guaranteed!
After entering the city the children first of course need their DiverDNI, their ID Card. Afterwards they have to head to the bank to open an account, deposit the cheque they received at the entrance (thanks to mom and dad for paying the entrance fee) and receive their "ATM card" which of course only works at the ATM replicas inside Divercity. As soon as all bureaucratic issues are solved the kids decide what they want to do.
They can among many other professions work at one of the shops or fabrics, become a firefighter, pilot, doctor or chef, care for animals or make the news. Fun and adventure is guaranteed at a safari, the farm, in the mine or at the climbing wall. Citizens of Divercity can join the theater, dance or art group, play soccer or exercise at the gym. And important for the girls the hairdresser and department store is just around the corner. Like in real life the kids can make their Divercity drivers license, fill up "their" car at the gas station or have a check-up at the workshop. Each "job" or fun activity is only between 10 to 20 minutes, so the children don't get bored.
At Saturday afternoons and Sundays Divercity can get crowed, so lines at the different attractions can get long and the kids have to wait for their turn - like in real life ...
