Peruvian Experience - The Magic of Peru in one place

Peruvian Experience - The Magic of Peru in one place

Entertaining introduction to Peruvian history, culture and gastronomy

Since 2019 Lima’s district Miraflores has one more attraction: Peruvian Experience, the first space of cultural and gastronomic entertainment of Peru where visitors take a fun and hands-on journey through Peruvian history, culture and gastronomy from the food of the Incas to today’s famous Peruvian dishes without ever leaving Lima.

The Peruvian Experience is divided into four areas:

The Dark Ride

Visitors hop on a small train and take a tour full of magic and special effects, where they are introduced to Peruvian history and its gastronomy, as well as relevant facts about Peruvian ecosystems and produce.

Pisco Experience

At the interactive vineyard visitors learn everything about Pisco, Peru’s national drink, and its production. At the 1920s theme bar, an expert barman gives a Pisco Sour master class and participants can mix their own Pisco Sour.

Cooking Experience

At the Cooking Experience participants immerse in the incredible world of Peruvian flavors, textures and sensations and get a collaborative cooking class. A Chef shares the history and the original recipe of an emblematic Peruvian starter (Ceviche or Causa) with participants who then prepare the dish themselves.

The Taste of Peru

At the Taste of Peru area participants are introduced to a typical, however staged Peruvian market, its characters, produce and charm. Here 12 traditional Peruvian dishes prepared with original recipes can be tasted and their history is uncovered. The experience is accompanied by a typical Peruvian dance show.

Visitors can either do a guided tour of each area individually or book the full guided tour called “The Experience”, which includes all 4 areas.

The Peruvian Experience is a great introduction and an amazing experience for Peru visitors as well as “old hands” with welcoming, knowledgeable, attentive and brilliant staff who make you understand the history, culture and gastronomy of Peru in an entertaining and partly fun way.

Highly recommended!
