The Festival of the Crosses, also known as Cruces de Mayo (May Crosses Festival), was introduced to Peru by the Spaniards and is celebrated in Peru mostly in towns in the Andean highlands on May 3.

Open Museums (Museos Abiertos), an initiative of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture that allows Peruvians and foreign residents to visit more than 50 public museum, archaeological sites and historical places throughout the country free of charge each first Sunday of the month, returns in 2023.

On May 30 is National Potato Day in Peru, the day each year to pay homage and celebrate one of the most important food crops in the world originating in Peru.
