Typical Peruvian Herb

Chincho is an aromatic herb native to Peru and was cultivated by the Incas. It belongs to the same family as Huacatay, but its flavors are less pungent.

Chincho is often used in Pachamanca and in dishes from Huanucu.

      @Veronica Depends on where you are. Chincho is native to Peru and difficult to grow outside a few areas of the country. Nevertheless, you can find it in most fresh food markets, especially in the Andean highlands of Ancash, Huanuco, Junin, Pasco, Cajamarca, La Libertad or, if you are lucky Lima. Outside Peru, you will have a hard time getting a hold of it.
